PLEASE NOTE ALL CHRISTMAS ORDERS FOR 2011 ARE FILLED. I DO NOT KEEP A STOCK OF HORSES THEY ARE ALL MADE TO ORDER & DELIVERED TO THE CLIENT UPON COMPLETION. I AM FULLY BOOKED UNTIL APRIL 2012.

My name is Jennifer Gater and at 26 I am currently one of the youngest professional rocking horse makers in the country and one of the youngest in the world. I am very proud to be a full member of the guild of rocking horse makers.



All of my horses are designed,built,carved,painted,tacked and finished by me. Horses of the highest quality are something which I aim to provide to each of my customers. Each horse is a unique toy and an equally beautiful piece of furniture.
All of my horses are hand built and carved using traditional methods & tools.
All of the horses are fully customizable and I encourage my clients to have as much input in their horse as possible.



Finishes are available in either polished hardwood or hand painted.
There is no extra cost for custom paint and detailing. I am happy to paint the horses the same as real life coat colours.
I place a time capsule inside of each horse. This allows future generations to track me as the maker and gives details of who the horse was made for.


My large horses are carved with my makers mark..
:-The paints used are non toxic and and meet EU standards. I am currently chaging to natural Eco paints for all of my horses.
:-Horse hair and leather conform to all DEFRA regulations.
:-Woods used are FSC and carefully managed. They are
sourced from reputable dealers.
:-Metal work used is sourced from proffesional saddlery suppliers.
Our suppliers carry a royal warrant to the Queen. All supplies are used in tack & equipment for real life horses so will easily cope with play use.
:-The tack- Saddles & bridles are hand made by a professional saddler.
:-All bow rockers and swing stands are made from Kiln dried hardwoods.
:-Carousel horses are mounted on brass barley twist pole with hardwood base.


I also take on horses for restoration work and I am happy to work on private commissions of a more specialist nature.
When ordering please bear in mind the time it takes to build and carve each horse. If you need your horse by a certain date please order well in advance to avoid dissapointment.
